The rehabilitation center here is under staffed for the amount of patients and do not recommend anyone to go there for any type of care. Most RNs are rude and take over 20 mins to respond to the patients.

I have been here over a year and my experience in this past year has been mostly irritating and mentally and physically exhausting.I will say that most of the aid's here are good with a cpl exceptions. The biggest problems here come from the people who should be helping you the most, ie....nurses, D.O.N Mabel, social worker Rene, the CEO Nate, and most of management staff. The care suffers to all patients due to understaffing. The management refuses to listen to any complaints about any issues with their staff n when issues are raised they turn it back on you n tell you that your the one who's wrong. I've been punished by the staff for raising issues. The management here stole the wheelchair my insurance company bought for me n refused to give it to me until I signed a contract that basically stated I can only go out when they decide. Also on several occasions was left in excruciating pain for hours on end because they refused to fix my catheter even with me begging them to n telling them what was exactly wrong with it, most recent being Thursday Oct 19th into Friday Oct 20th I was left in my bed for over 6 hrs crying n begging for them to please fix the catheter when they refused I begged them for 5 hrs to send me to the hospital after the 5hrs of begging n being lied to about going to the hospital they finally sent me. When the Dr.at the emergency room came in I explained to him that the catheter wasn't in the right spot which he confirmed n felt that the balloon was blown up in my prostate at which point he deflated the balloon pushed in the catheter and the problem was solved. Upon arrival back at the Meadows instead of an apology I received a 30 day notice of discharge because I went to the hospital. That day I asked Richmond the head of nursing for some grievance forms at which point he broke my privacy n hippa law rights by saying in front of another residents visitors "well what about all that you do wrong , n brought up some of my medical records. The visitor could not believe what he heard. This is the absolute worst place. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE PLEASE

For the most part it was very good. There were a few instances where they seemed extremely understaffed. I had a piece of personal equipment that was malfunctioning and they were supposed to contact the doctor to get the correct settings so I could begin to use it again, to my knowledge this never was done. Some of the nurses were the best I had ever had. Some of the CNA or PCAs were also wonderful. The rec staff, though doing activities below me for the benefit of other clients, included me and provided me with puzzles and other books at my level to keep me active. The Rehab therepists were great. I'm not going to say I had fun, but they did their best to keep me happy.

The rehab department gets the job done. Some of the nurses are good but I hear many workers complaining about being there. The phone rings off the hook whenever you call nobody answers it and the case manager who is an RN in charge of everything did not help you with anything

My mother was in the ICU for 6 weeks and finally got transfered to this facility. We thought she would be well taken care of instead they take all her liquids and food away for no reason, don't give her the medication she needs till hours to late if ever and when she calls to say she needs to use the bed pan they don't help her till an hour or more later at which point she's already had an acident and then don't clean her up for another hour or so. I can't believe this place is even still open. If you want your loved ones to be cared for and to get better go elsewhere if you want them to be tortured and ignored and left to get worse then take them here. I am appalled that they remain open with this level of horrifying disdain and lack of caring about the human life. Oh and she's been there for 5 days and still hasn't been seen by physical therapy which is the whole reason she is there.
